The nine most amazing architectural projects future

Architectural opportunities are developing very rapidly, and now there are such buildings, which is breathtaking, and that will in a few years - and to frightening. However, we give you an opportunity to see what can multi-millionaires and corporations in trying to outdo each other in the search for a new draft of their buildings insane, and that the building was no longer something similar.

Nine projects, which are in the final stages of planning or had already started its construction.

1. Aqua. USA.

Published might seem that the skyscraper, the construction of which will end in 2009 - year, like all the others, in Chicago, thousands of whom. No faces get closer, and you going and waves ripple effect that managed to create with the help of architects balconies with different forms and sizes. They literally scattered all building from top to bottom.

2. Chicago Spire, USA

This phenomenal spire, which is to build all the same in Chicago in 2010 - th year, will be the tallest residential building in the world and the tallest buildings in the western hemisphere. It seems designers in developing the draft accidentally came across at the drill, but one thing we know for sure - this is a building height of 609 meters, will dominate the skies of Chicago.

3. CCTV headquarters, China

The building height of 234 meters of all created not for the fact that it can be seen from afar, but their enthusiastic crowd of onlookers gather it accurately. The building will be a complement to the incredible scenery of Beijing, and its opening is planned as a time for the Olympic Game in 2008 - year. Architects named the form of buildings z criss-cross, and, apparently, the angle to be unsupported by any backbone. Well, it was hoped that there would be a transparent floor.

4. Regatta Hotel, Jakarta

Developers design of the aluminum in the marine theme and said that ten small buildings - a sailing boat, a big - a lighthouse. Perhaps, the lighthouse - one of the most extraordinary buildings that I have ever seen, and I would hope that the end result will be at least a bit like this three-dimensional model.

5. Residential building Antilia, India.

Construction of the apartment building met a lot of outrage from local residents. And no wonder: in a city where 65% of residents live in slums, the skyscraper looks Ugly. Politicians wisely decided not to intervene in the building business. After the initial shock of this building, which somehow reminds stand for the CD-ROM from Ikei, it is realized that the building could become part of the unique architecture of the city green.

6. Russian Tower, Russia

Here is the first of the two buildings involved in the review, which is being built in Russia. And more specifically, in Moscow. His plan to build 2012 - ing year, and it will be the tallest building in Europe, nearly double the Eiffel Tower. Above make an observation tower, and then kind of seemed to be smart. Construction, by the way, already is in full swing, and it instructed the company Foster & Partners, which is building "Gherkin" (Kornishon) in the main financial district of London and Kosmoportom in America.

7. City Centre Penang, Malaysia

All recent months has been discussion of this interesting project, but now he runs the final stages of approval and in the near future will begin its construction. True, in any event because of the huge size of the project is unlikely to end construction is expected earlier than 15 years. The entire center of the city resembles science fiction dvuhsotmetrovymi with two towers, and it completely changes the form of tiny, little-known before this pores Penang island.

8. The headquarters of Gazprom, Russia

Here is the second building from Russia, so what! 300-metre flames from the glass in St. Petersburg eclipse all of the surrounding buildings nearby. Depending on the situation of the sun, it will change color to ten times a day. However, the poor residents who have built much older classic Mummy, the tower has been dubbed "Kukuruznym pochatkom". In any case, Gazprom magnitude strikes.

9. Burj Dubai, Dubai

This is a very high building. So high that when he finished next year, it will be built in the highest in the world ever built, and with great isolation. Except for the antenna, is still considered to be the tallest building in Taipei, Taiwan 101, in which all 509 metres. The building at the most preliminary estimates will be 818. Pay attention to the photos. Skyscrapers in Dubai earlier looked very high.

Use the Google Chart API to create charts for your web applications

I love simple APIs, and this one eats the pie. With the Google Chart API you can build a URL that will dynamically create a chart for you. This service is used internally for Google Finance, Google Video, and beyond. Now, anyone can use it!

Although it is simple to use (just a darn URL after all) you will see that there are many options.

Here is just a few charts to show how broad this is:

AJAX Your Blog - Plugins, Source Code, and Tutorials

I started this blog around the same time AJAX was introduced by Adaptive Path's Jesse James Garrett. At the time there were no out of the box add-on's for blogs. Fortunately, now there are a plethora of plugins, source code, and tutorials designed for specific blog software. The following is a list of AJAX components you can add to Wordpress, Expression Engine, and Moveable Type.

Please use the comments section of this post to let the community know of any useful resources I've left out. Most of the descriptions below are taken from the developers of the example. Thanks, m4x.

Gaia Ajax Widgets Victory Version Released

gaia_widgets.gif
Gaia Ajax Widgets, the Open Source Ajax library for ASP.NET and Mono, released a new version with lots of new features such the Ajax Viewport and Ajax Aspects which are demonstrated in the Ajax Shopping Cart sample and the Ajax Chart sample. Ajax Aspects is a kind of behavior that you can attach to any widget of choice and which changes the behavior of that widget. Examples of Aspects are AspectResizable which makes any widget resizable and AspectDraggable which makes any widget draggable. By combining e.g. AspectDraggable and AspectDroppable it is very easy to create an Ajaxified Shopping Cart. In addition there has been several enhancements to the library at the Ajax TreeView Control, which is now 100 times faster. This is especially noticable on very large TreeViews.

Gaia Ajax Widgets have always suffered from being the "less visually appealing" Ajax Library since the main focus was on making the server-side bindings against ASP.NET and Mono in addition to the internal core of the library. Now the core and the foundation is mostly 100% finished and very stable, time to focus on more "eye-candy" and "bling" to make the library visually appear as great and beautiful as other JS libraries like ExtJS and Dojo etc. No doubt that creating the "Custom JavaScript free Ajax Library" has had it's costs. Now let's hope it's time to reap.

ExtJS 2.0 Final Released

Most awaited JavaScript library Ext 2.0 is finally available providing more power to create amazing web application with a lots of great UI components. ExtJS 2.0 is available for download, under open source and commercial licenses. A migration guide is available to help porting your GUI from Ext 1.0 to 2.0. Some of the amazing features in Ext 2.0 framework includes :

  • Grouping & Group Summary

  • New API Documentation Center
  • In addition to new documentation and samples

PHP for Microsoft AJAX Library

With the release of Microsoft AJAX ASP.NET 1.0, Steve Marx pushed his project to help PHP applications make use of the Microsoft AJAX Library. PHP for Microsoft AJAX Library currently supports creating web service proxies in PHP code such that the Microsoft AJAX Library can call them from client-side code. Future releases will support localization and globalization, debug and release scripts, and more features inspired by ASP.NET AJAX. The library is in its alpha stage and require PHP 5.2 for json_encode/json_decode or you can manually install php-json.

I shipped the first public release of my own product today to coincide with ASP.NET AJAX 1.0. My project is called PHP for Microsoft AJAX Library, a small library to help PHP applications make use of the Microsoft AJAX Library. This is a shared source project under the Microsoft Permissive License, and I'd love your contributions!

Below a simple Hello World :

  1. // HelloService.php:
  2. require_once '../../dist/MSAjaxService.php';

  3. class HelloService extends MSAjaxService
  4. {
  5. function SayHello($name)
  6. {
  7. return "Hello, " . $name . "!";
  8. }
  9. }

  10. $h = new HelloService();
  11. $h->ProcessRequest();
And the index.html page :
